Cutler's Educational Philosophy:
"Education is a dynamic process that involves members of the community in learning and instruction. Because education must extend beyond the walls of the school building, education becomes the responsibility of the total community including students, staff, parents and the citizenry at large assisting each child to acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values needed to live effectively in an every-changing society.
The purpose of the elementary schools is to promote the academic, social/emotional, physical, and aesthetic development of each student. The primary role of the educator is to provide an appropriate climate for learning, which includes respect for the learner, freedom to question, stimulating content, and flexible teaching methods which address the different learning styles, recognition of the different levels of problem-solving strategies and cultivation of individual talents. The student will be an active participant in the learning process, motivated to explore and question, and to integrate this knowledge into his/her real life experiences. The elementary schools strive to provide a caring environment in which every child can feel a sense of personal worth and mutually shared responsibility for life within the family, school, and community."
